INNOVATIONS IN METASTATIC SITUATION

A Multidisciplinary Meeting

Join us for the Breast Cancer Update:
2nd edition dedicated to metastatic breast cancer

Back to Dubai March 12-15, 2022 where we will discuss innovations in metastatic situations. Breast cancer is a highly metastatic multifactorial disease with various histological and molecular subtypes. Thanks to recent advances, the mortality rate of breast cancer has improved over the last five decades. This pathology not only shows great heterogeneity but also great variation in its onset, response to treatment, progression and even location of metastasis.

This congress will be presided by Mustapha BOUBRIT (MD, Head of Department of Radiology and Imaging at "Beni-Messous" Algiers University Hospital Center) and Joseph GLIGOROV (MD, PhD Head of Breast Cancer Expert Center, Tenon Hospital, Paris, France). It will be chaired by an international multidisciplinary scientific committee from France, UAE, MENA & Africa.

The BCU aims to bring together the entire scientific community around the issue of metastatic breast cancer and to organize the program in order to integrate and capture the attention to all the specialists involved in the care and management of these patients.

A program based on multidisciplinary team meetings model

To meet this objective, we have imagined 2 types of sessions:

Cross-cutting sessions on a type of cancer such as HER2, triple negatives or mutated patients which will allow us to discuss combination treatments but also PARP inhibitors.

We will also have sessions focused on metastasis which will give us the opportunity to involve specialists from other organs concerned by breast cancer complications such as bones or brain metastases. Imaging will of course be part of the program, no major novelty, but the specialty remains at the point of care for diagnosis, follow-up, monitoring, and even for treatment considering interventional treatment.

Looking forward to meeting with you in Dubai.

Luc Rotenberg, MD, BCU General Secretary
